Oriental,
NC, a small, friendly village of 900 people, harbors three times
as many sailboats. It welcomes boaters from around the world who
follow the Intracoastal Waterway. Surrounded by deepwater creeks
and the Neuse River, it's an excellent destination for fishing,
sailing, and kayaking. Shops, galleries, restaurants, and a scenic
waterfront park allow for relaxation while off the water. With only
one traffic light in the county, the pace is relaxed, and the bicycle
is a favored mode of transportation in town. |
